Do you have a reference backing that up? AFAIK design capacity is the right thing to use. Two reasons; 1) it lets you know when a battery is not charging up fully anymore 2) some (non-LION) battieries might only charge to a given amount, but then charge further after being fully flattened. -- see shy jo
