Hi Matthew! I think it would be nice if you could run debroster on a simple text console, for example on the not so fast Alpha we are having here to show Debian on an other architecure. This could be archived by a if [ -z "$DISPLAY" ] ; then exec /usr/lib/debroster/dr.sh ; else ... ... fi in /usr/bin/debroster. Sorry no real patch, still try to figure out how to solve the problem of displaying maintainer names with non ASCII characters properly in X and on the console.
