Package: gxine Version: 0.4.1-1 Severity: minor
On the first run, gxine offers to do some configuration. I get a window saying "Welcome!" with some checkboxes. I'm told the check for a cdrom drive failed, so I click on details. I get two dialogs: (1) FAILED - could not access cdrom: (2) Either create a symbolic link /dev/cdrom pointing toyour cdrom device or set your cdrom device in thepreferences dialog. Note the two spelling errors: "toyour" and "thepreferences" Also, the device actually exists and works: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:jeff $ ls -l /dev/cdrom lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 2002-12-27 16:14 /dev/cdrom -> scd0 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:jeff $ so perhaps there's also a bug in checking (or another typo, that it's checking for a mounted file system?). -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.27-1-686 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages gxine depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 1.8.0-4 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libglib2.0-0 2.4.8-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.4.14-2 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libice6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libpango1.0-0 1.6.0-3 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libsm6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Window System Session Management ii libsmjs1 1.5rc6a-1 The Mozilla SpiderMonkey JavaScrip ii libx11-6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Window System protocol client li ii libxaw7 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Athena widget set library ii libxine1 1.0-1 the xine video/media player librar ii libxt6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Toolkit Intrinsics ii libxtst6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Window System event recording an ii xlibs 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Keyboard Extension (XKB) configu ii zlib1g 1:1.2.2-3 compression library - runtime -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
