Bug#291815: mozilla-thunderbird: tb keeps on trying downloading messages while there are none

Maybe pressing "Stop" in the toolbar helps? Is this reproducible? If so, 
howto?

Maybe one of your servers does not respond, so there is still a job 
runing in the background?
