Hello,
when starting blender (from a shell or from the menu),
it shows the splash screen, but nothing else. When moving the mouse around the screen, some buttons / menus / controls I moved the mouse over show up. So I found the the Menu at the top and was able to quit.
Debian release: testing Kernel: 2.6.9 Architecture: i386
My GFX-Card is a ATI Radeon 9500 PRO with proprietary drivers from ATI installed. I use it with 2 crts as one large desktop (big screen mode ATI calls it in is driver), not the xinerama mode.
