It's the widget that appears in the bottom-right corner of some windows'
status bars. (Such as Totem and Nautilus 2.8.x). Here's a screenshot of
what a window looks like with the grip. (I've tweaked the appearance a
little since I originally submitted the patch-- I'll send the newer
patch if desired)
