Package: xscreensaver Version: 4.16-1 Severity: important With kernel 2.6, specifically 2.6.10 in my case, xscreensaver does not work anymore. It blanks (and locks) the screen randomly, even if I use the mouse and keyboard continuously. When trying to unblank (by pressing a key on the keyboard) xscreensaver sometimes hogs the CPU, in this case I have to kill it from the console.
One time xscreensaver told me that there are no interrupts in /proc/interrupts which is certainly not true. The changelog at http://www.jwz.org/xscreensaver/changelog.html tells me that a new version would fix these problems. Could you please upgrade?
