But you didn't get all those bug reports the same day, don't you ? There is a patch included, the initial report was done in good form, and altough hurd is not released, it is an important component of debian, so the bug report is clearly above average and warranted at least a response. A quick line that it is part of base and thus frozen or therelike would have been enough, a full silence is in my opinion worse than any shouting that could happen.
