The fix for the Debian package in the short term was to apply the patch; in
the long term, Debian will have a standard that requires a higher python
version, at which point I will remove the patch again (were it a more
invasive or less obvious patch, I would have simply added a Python version
requirement and documented the reason, but casual inspection indicated that
it should be minimally invasive).

Thank you, however, for the pointer to the compatibility matrix; I will be
sure to cross-check that for new versions (and consider poking the Zope
maintainer to check the situation with Zope; if it never supported python
2.2, we probably *should* be requiring 2.3 anyay).
