The way it was done by the people at linuxprinting.org, color draft mode was remapped to fastdraft, which only hpijs 2.0 understands. I expected them to *add* a new fastdraft mode, which would not cause such problems. I have not tested it, but it is likely that this kills draft mode with hpijs 1.7.1 unless the user overrides the "quality" setting to disable "fastdraft". Since I have just uploaded hpijs 2.0 to unstable, it is probably a very good idea to put the versioned dependency on hpijs (>= 2) back into foomatic-db-hpijs, and to add a versioned conflicts on hpijs << 2 to foomatic-filters-ppds. -- "One disk to rule them all, One disk to find them.
