I've used beagle for compiling dashboard, both under cvs.gnome.org and
both not in Debian.
It might be worthable, if you do not think it's the case to officially
add the mono binding, to say how to do it in a README.mono
Since 2.1 is declared, even in Debian, 'unstable', I don't think it's a
problem to add it, though (with the 'mono in testing' pre-requisite).
