Hi, The current wxvlc package does not include a .desktop file, and therefor does not get integrated into GNOME/KDE (and possibly others) menus. The Debian source package has .desktop files for the obsolote gnome-vlc and gvlc. It should be possible to use one of these for wxvlc. Also, you should add a field with supported MimeTypes, such that Nautilus (and other applications) knows what types vlc can play. For an example, look at the totem.desktop file.
