Package: debtags Version: 0.99.4 Severity: wishlist I'd like to be able to know which aspects of the dfsg packages in non-free fail (without reading each and every copyright file) and it occurred to me that some debtags would be a nice way to do that.
Presumably the dfsg won't change significantly in the future, if it does, there could be an automatic way to change tags at a certain time. Also, it would be good to know why packages are in contrib, perhaps: dfsg-fails::{patents,1-9,...} or non-free::{patents,1-9,...} and contrib::{deps-not-avail,deps-1-deps-9} -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (101, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.27-2-k7 Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages debtags depends on: ii apt [libapt-pkg-libc6.3-5-3 0.5.27.2 Advanced front-end for dpkg ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libdebtags0 0.9.8 Unified access to Debtags and APT ii libgcc1 1:3.4.3-7 GCC support library ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.5-6 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libtagcoll0 0.99.1-1 Functions used to manipulate tagge -- no debconf information -- bye, pabs
