Package: reportbug Version: 3.5 Severity: grave Tags: experimental Justification: renders package unusable
When trying to file a bug report against some other package, "reportbug" did not work; instead it told me there was something wrong with the "import site" statement of /usr/bin/reportbug in line 27. http://python.active-venture.com/lib/module-site.html says: In earlier versions of Python (up to and including 1.5a3), scripts or modules that needed to use site-specific modules would place "import site" somewhere near the top of their code. This is no longer necessary. As it seems, this piece of code must no longer be executed when a recent (say Debian unstable as of today) python is installed. regards, Enver -- Package-specific info: ** Environment settings: EDITOR="joe" ** /home/intuidev/.reportbugrc: reportbug_version "3.5" mode standard ui text realname "Enver Haase" email "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.9 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages reportbug depends on: ii python2.3 2.3.4-19 An interactive high-level object-o -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
