Package: beep-media-player Version: 0.9.7-1 Severity: normal Hi,
I wanted to use beep-media-player instead of xmms, but it doesn't convert the id3 tags correctly. My id3 tags are all encoded in Latin1 (ISO-8859-1) and my locale is de_DE.UTF-8, now any mp3 file that has non-ascii characters (like german umlauts) is displayed incorrect with a ? instead of the non-ascii character. Beep-media-player needs to convert the latin1-encoded id3 tags to the user locale.
