Package: deselect - zlig1g-dev and zlib1g
Version: ?
While selecting the qt3 for installation deselect selected
zlib1g and zlib1g-dev for installation. Once in this screen
I am stuck here. It is a continious loop. I end up having
to do a Ctrl C to get out.
I am using Sarge - testing on an Ultra 2 with dual 200mhz CPUs
Please feel free to contact me if you have any more questions
or if I need to write these bug reports differently.
My best regards
Walt L. Williams
Sarge is the best version of Debian I seen yet.

Hi,
This report appears to be a result of zlib1g and zlib1g-dev being at
different versions in testing when the install of qt3 (which depends on
zlib1g) was attempted. Since zlib1g-dev depends on zlib1g, dselect
would be unable to satisfy the dependencies and would properly keep
tossing up a conflict resolution screen until either zlib1g-dev was put
on hold or the "Q" command was used.
So, the result of a transitory situation and not really a bug.
