Package: vim-gtk3
Version: 2:9.1.1230-1
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
After upgrading to GNOME 48, gvim randomly crashes after using it for a
while, when gaining focus after switching workspaces or switching from
the drop-down terminal (guake).
I already tried disabling all GNOME Shell extensions, and also
disabling all vim plugins, but the behavior is the same.
Using vim from the terminal seems okay (but performance is slower than
using gvim's).
Bug #1001586 seems similar, but I'm using X11 instead of Wayland, with
an NVIDIA card directly (the Intel card is disabled).
Journalctl only shows that a SIGSEGV has been caught:
$ journalctl -b -a --no-pager | grep gvim.desktop
Hint: You are currently not seeing messages from other users and the
system.
Users in groups 'adm', 'systemd-journal' can see all messages.
Pass -q to turn off this notice.
