Package: gnome-shell
Version: 3.14.4-1~deb8u1
Severity: important
Hi,
To reproduce:
1. Set "Window Action Key" to Alt
2. Start rdesktop/xfreerdp
3. Focus rdesktop/xfreerdp
4. Press and hold Alt
5. Click and hold left mouse button and strike right
6. Release left mouse button and return mouse position to left
7. Quickly repeat stpes 5 and 6 for 3 times or more
8. Mouse grab and click stuck
To ungrab, have to either focus to applications other than rdesktop/xfreerdp
and press the Win key or use Alt-Left click to move other applications around.
During the stuck grab, the grab debug prints the following:
Mar 30 19:52:52 sirloin gdm-Xorg-:0[1301]: (II) Printing all currently active
device grabs:
Mar 30 19:52:52 sirloin gdm-Xorg-:0[1301]: Active grab 0x1000000 (xi2) on
device 'Virtual core pointer' (2):
Mar 30 19:52:52 sirloin gdm-Xorg-:0[1301]: client pid 6637 /usr/bin/gnome-shell
Mar 30 19:52:52 sirloin gdm-Xorg-:0[1301]: at 3526841 (from active grab)
(device thawed, state 1)
Mar 30 19:52:52 sirloin gdm-Xorg-:0[1301]: xi2 event mask for device 2: 0xfc100
Mar 30 19:52:52 sirloin gdm-Xorg-:0[1301]: owner-events false, kb 1 ptr 1,
confine 0, cursor 0x0
Mar 30 19:52:52 sirloin gdm-Xorg-:0[1301]: (II) End list of active device grabs
I used to use Alt-left click to move around windows, so always get stuck with
this problem. Hope there's a workaround besides resorting to re-focusing to
move window or press the Win key.
