I'd prefer to keep maintaining this package as is (so I 'object' to the ITS), but do acknowledge that the existing bugs need better processing. I will upload a new version soon that either forwards, closes, or tags these wont-fix. As upstream is dormant for this package, I will also consider applying submitted patches for desired missing features, etc. I'm certainly open to any other suggestions as well, other than group maintainership and the like. I'm unclear if you feel there are QA issues apart from those filed in the BTS. If so please let me know. I've briefly checked your reference [3] and could not quickly find any reference to pcal.
