Package: thunderbird
Version: 1:60.4.0-1~deb9u1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * After having installed Debian 9 and thunderbird on a "virgin" system and
taking over the old user profile, I was unable to fetch mails from the server
on the accounts both from me and my wife. Also, the processor usage was quite
high.
   * After starting thunderbird from the command line via "thunderbird --safe-
mode", I could fetch mails.
   * Re-activating the add-ins one by one showed that GNOME keyring integration
was the "bad guy".
I don't have enigmail or something similar installed yet.
   * I would have expected that thunderbird is capable of fetching e-mails also
with this add on activated.

Thanks!

src:mozilla-gnome-keyring was last released with Debian 8 (jessie)
in April 2015 and has been removed from the Debian archive afterwards.
See https://bugs.debian.org/918173 for details on the removal.
After regular security support for jessie ended in June 2018 and LTS
support ended in June 2020, I'm closing the remaining bug reports now.

Andreas
