Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
* What led up to the situation?
print driver failed after upgrade to bullseye
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Instlled latest hplip; deleted existing driver and installed printer HP
Laserjet Pro P1102w
* What was the outcome of this action
The install insists on the installation of a proprietary plugin. However,
attempts to install that plugin from HP CD fails because the workstation does
not have a WiFi port
HPLIP does offer the option of USB vs WiFi connection. However, chosing USB
appears ineffectual. The setup still insists that the plugin is missing.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
Successful test print

has the proper dependencies installed to

This respopne was sent only to me and not to the bug. I have rectified
that.

Installing the latest HPLIP on stable is not a supported situation.

You were given an HPLIP approved method for installling the plugin.

There is some misunderstanding here. The plugin is required for network
and USB connections in order to print. I am closing this report on that
basis.

Brian.
