Package: reprepro
Version: 3.9.2-1
Severity: wishlist
This is a real long-shot but would be very useful for Emdebian. We are currently
sub-dividing the archive into various components in order to reduce the overall
size of the Packages.gz files. With our TDebs, these components are the locale
roots - e.g. a pt_BR translation goes under the pt component.
So far, Emdebian has 98 components but every once in a while, a new one arrives
in a package being processed by Emdebian. The scripts calling reprepro always
explicitly specify the component using -C and currently use includedeb (although
other include methods could be used, as well as processincoming eventually).
When a new locale root appears, reprepro currently drops the translation package
because the component doesn't exist. It would be very useful if the component
could be created if it is explicitly set via the -C option to reprepro.
If you feel it's a step too far, feel free to close the bug.
