Package: sane-utils
Version: 1.0.19~cvs20070730-1
Severity: normal

scanimage fails to capture an image from a video stream provided by the kernel
module 'pwc' for Philips web cams. However, I can watch the camera's video
stream
with xawtv.
scanimage works as expected with the other video sources present in my system
(modules quickcam, bttv and cx8800).

Hi Andreas,

I have the v4l backend disabled in 1.0.24-10.

The v4l backend has not been updated to the current v4l modules in the
kernel. Whereby some functions are faulty.

Feel free to file a bug at[1].

CU
Jörg
