Package: reportbug

Dear Maintainer,
When I tried to send kudos to the zsh maintainers using "reportbug -k" , the
process works fine until the last dialog where it says,
Connecting to packages.debian.org via SMTP...
At this point, the blue bar just moves left and right and ultimately times out.
I confirm that the problem is not with the SMTP, since just minutes ago, I was
able to report a bug ( https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=775771
)

You submit bugs via reportbug.debian.org, but if you have set that
value as smtphost, then packages.debian.org is replaced instead, this
is to avoid to stormp r.d.o with request possibly to relay on other MX
and r.d.o doesnt support that. zsh Maintainer address is not a
@debian.org one so likely packages.d.o is dropping the connection when
a relay is attempted.
reportbug.debian.org is a service provided to easy the bug reporting,
to have the freedom to send emails to everyone, please use your ISP
SMTP server.
Regards,
