Package: reportbug
Version: 6.6.0
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

In bug #771561 reportbug silently attached my /etc/fstab to the bug report.
This file contained information that others have already been harassed for.

The file was deleted from the Debian bug tracking system.
However, I think it would be good if reportbug would prompt the user.
Then the user could decide if attachments to the bug report should be uploaded.

most of your concerns were already addressed in

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=771561#35
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=771561#67

Systemd asks for permission to attach the files (to which you replied
with a "yes"), and the list of attached file is prompted right before
submitting the bug, like in this example:

Attachments:
 /tmp/tmp.uiQsAbt54e/systemd-delta.txt
 /tmp/tmp.uiQsAbt54e/systemctl-dump.txt
 /tmp/tmp.uiQsAbt54e/dsh-enabled.txt
 /etc/fstab
Submit this report on systemd (e to edit) [Y|n|a|c|e|i|l|m|p|q|d|t|s|?]?

Please be more careful next time and if you have privacy concerns,
please review all the information you're about to send before sending
them.

Regards,
