Package: laptop-mode-tools
Version: 1.10-1

Problem: The system freezes with laptop-mode-tools hard disk defaults
set by "/etc/init.d/laptop-mode-tools start". It typically crashes when
writing out to disk while system is under normal load. I've only ever
gotten it to generate an error once on the console: "hda: DMA timeout
error".

I'm sorry I can't provide much more information. I suggest disabling
hard-disk optimization in the default config with a note in the config
file to try it and if it crashes to comment it back out.

     controlling daemons.
