Package: hal
Version: 0.5.11-8

Hi,

The hald daemon is very long to start on debian lenny: around 30s !
I try to debug it. This is what i get :
# cat /etc/default/hal
DAEMON_OPTS="--verbose=yes --use-syslog"

Here the first and last lines of /var/log/syslog :

reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.

The restart took around 2 seconds.
