The current layout always uses 2 lines of text per package. We could have an option that would make this could be made configurable, writing everything on one line in the "source name column", and just showing a "+" instead of "more" in the "excuses" column. It look to me that the "watch" column could be simplified by making the 1st line a link to the details. -- Yann Dirson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | Debian-related: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | Support Debian GNU/Linux: | Freedom, Power, Stability, Gratis http://ydirson.free.fr/ | Check <http://www.debian.org/> --------------------------------------- Received: (at 264150-done) by bugs.debian.org; 19 Nov 2005 12:57:53 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Nov 19 04:57:53 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from meitner.df7cb.de ([217.160.132.97] ident=postfix) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 4.50) id 1EdSHx-00069n-F0 for [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Sat, 19 Nov 2005 04:57:53 -0800 Received: from volta.df7cb.de (dslb-084-058-192-030.pools.arcor-ip.net [84.58.192.30]) by meitner.df7cb.de (Postfix) with ESMTP id 57364205723 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Sat, 19 Nov 2005 13:57:52 +0100 (CET) Received: from volta.df7cb.de (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]) by volta.df7cb.de (Postfix) with SMTP id 8D39F43221 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Sat, 19 Nov 2005 13:57:50 +0100 (CET) Received: by volta.df7cb.de (sSMTP sendmail emulation); Sat, 19 Nov 2005 13:57:50 +0100 From: "Christoph Berg" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Sat, 19 Nov 2005 13:57:50 +0100 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: ddpo: saving vertical space Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mail-Followup-To: Christoph Berg <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, [EMAIL PROTECTED] References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/signed; micalg=pgp-sha1; protocol="application/pgp-signature"; boundary="fdj2RfSjLxBAspz7" Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> X-Debbugs-No-Ack: please X-Face: ([EMAIL PROTECTED](D\O)J!Qu\q4fh8W^7WGqxpwTk&Xy0*ya<[EMAIL PROTECTED]/TA:l\Pde>wYj,M;75" N13_k}S.rS#lmX[G]QOuw[H"4#z$tSn$SkV<IurN'6;gkRFZw@/XLtl7":0v&kN3*-iM~q*;.*CfH@ qM>5ucV193Tz3IWj<]8at(6"K.ht//s"Ds,xMV9A\_bN/)[EMAIL PROTECTED]>-dF34Kw?,<G0ya User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.11 X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,X_DEBBUGS_NO_ACK autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 --fdj2RfSjLxBAspz7 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Re: Yann Dirson in <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > While saving horizontal space is useful for all, saving vertical space > is a must for people with many packages. Hi, in the meantime, there's even more stuff using the second line, so it is unlikely that this can be changed without making the table very wide again. I've limited the number of shown binary packages to 9 now, so that packages with very many binaries (gcc-* etc.) will not take half of the screen.
