Package: gnus
Version: 5.10.6-1.NO.20051213-1

Hi,

Could you please forward this upstream?

Gnus breaks text/* MIME attachments that happen to contain a
clearsigned PGP file. An example of such a message is available in
gmane.comp.version-control.darcs.devel under

  Message-ID: <200601142043.k0ekhtvu018...@ms-smtp-02.nyroc.rr.com>

I've noted two (possibly related) misbehaviours:

1. Gnus attempts to verify such a signature without decoding
Quoted-Printable, which obviously fails. It's an attachment, it
should be decoded before doing anything with the contents.

2. When saving the attachment, Gnus discards the ASCII armour, leaving
just the bare text. The ASCII armour is part of the attachment, Gnus
has no business discarding it.

I am using emacs 21.4a-3 and have set

  mm-verify-option 'always
  gnus-buttonized-mime-types '("multipart/encrypted" "multipart/signed")

Thanks,

                                        Juliusz Chroboczek
