Package: gettext
Severity: wishlist
Hello Santiago,
Thank you for maintaining the gettext package in Debian. There's been some
discussion in https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/247916 about gettext and cvs.
"/usr/bin/autopoint which is part of the gettext package requires cvs to run.
gettext is currently not depending on cvs.
This should be solved by one of:
A: remove the somewhat bogus check of cvs in autopoint
B: split out autopoint of gettext to gettext-dev and have gettext-dev depend
on cvs
C: make gettext depend on cvs
FWIW, Fedora is currently doing B."
I was wondering if you'd also consider taking route B.
Regards
Rolf

My apologies for the noise. I was looking at the wrong window with an
older release running. I see now that you dealt with this issue quite a
while ago.
Closing the ticket as fixed or invalid whichever you prefer ;-)
