Package: policycoreutils
Version: 1.24-2
Severity: normal

Hello,
I've installed policycoreutils and the like on a debian etch, getting
the packages from http://www.coker.com.au/newselinux/
At startup, restorecon is launched on the root dir, and generates a
lot of error messages: it tries to restore the context on "files" like
/dev/mem, /dev/rd/0, and the like. It also fails on files under /tmp,
as /tmp is a mount point for a tmpfs file system

I didn't find the explicit command launching restorecon at startup
time, how can some dirs be explicitelly excluded from the operation,
using the -e directory switch ?

Hi,

Was your file system labelled properly according to your
current policy? In any case, restorecon just tries to restore the
contecxt according to the initial file contexts as setr by your
current policy; and it is perfectly reasonable to set security
context for tempfs filesystems and links and char-or-block-special
files, so this is not a policycoreutils issue.

You probably need to upgrade your policy.
