The man page reads: | The -L <filename> or --logfile <filename> option (keyword: set logfile) | allows you to redirect status messages emitted while detached into a | ---------------- | specified logfile (follow the option with the logfile name). (...) This means: you need to use daemon mode (-d 600 or set daemon 600 or similar) and you MUST NOT use -N. This works for me.
