A while ago, I reported a memory leak about the time that some changes were done to the main package by Patrick. You thought that they would solve the memory leak problem. And they did seem to. Today I was printing some SVG stuff from Inkscape, and lprng started chewing up memory again. Not quite as fast as the last time, but after a couple of hours things were getting quite sluggish again. Do you have a plan for finding out where this memory is leaking? I'm going to need to print those SVG files again in the near future, so I can set things up with lprng quite easily. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.27 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages lprng depends on: ii debconf 1.4.46 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libcomerr2 1.36release-1 common error description library ii libkrb53 1.3.6-1 MIT Kerberos runtime libraries ii libssl0.9.7 0.9.7e-3 SSL shared libraries -- debconf information: lprng/twolpd_perms: lprng/twolpd_conf: * lprng/setuid_tools: true * lprng/start_lpd: true --------------------------------------- Received: (at 298379-done) by bugs.debian.org; 19 Jul 2005 02:14:18 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Jul 18 19:14:18 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from ppp114-209.static.internode.on.net (mail.enc.com.au) [150.101.114.209] by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.36 1 (Debian)) id 1Duhcf-0003Tw-00; Mon, 18 Jul 2005 19:14:18 -0700 Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by mail.enc.com.au (Postfix) with ESMTP id 42281B9BE4 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Tue, 19 Jul 2005 12:14:16 +1000 (EST) Received: from mail.enc.com.au ([127.0.0.1]) by localhost (gonzo [127.0.0.1]) (amavisd-new, port 10024) with LMTP id 01824-01 for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Tue, 19 Jul 2005 12:14:16 +1000 (EST) Received: by mail.enc.com.au (Postfix, from userid 1000) id 0793DB9BE8; Tue, 19 Jul 2005 12:14:15 +1000 (EST) Date: Tue, 19 Jul 2005 12:14:15 +1000 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Bug#298379: lprng: memory leak back Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.6+20040907i From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Craig Small) X-Virus-Scanned: by amavisd-new-20030616-p10 (Debian) at enc.com.au Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 On Mon, Jul 18, 2005 at 06:49:50PM -0600, Gordon Haverland wrote: > Might as well close this one.
