In /etc/cron.daily/lprng, the line
/usr/sbin/checkpc -r -A 1D
generates unessential output like this
durutti: file 'hfA528', age 42.74 hours > 24.00 hours maximum (removing)
durutti: file 'dfA528udon.enst.fr', age 42.74 hours > 24.00 hours maximum
(removing)
durutti: file 'cfA528udon.enst.fr', age 42.74 hours > 24.00 hours maximum
(removing)
which is sent by email to the sysadmin (everyday). These are not failed jobs but
simply all the jobs that have been printed during the day. This problem
was already present in the previous version of lprng (3.8.2-1).
Suggested fix:
/usr/sbin/checkpc -r -A 1D > /dev/null
(I don't believe there is an option to make checkpc run silently)
