I checked this out, and it does, indeed, list arcboot. As well, I have the values in the firmware set as the installer said they should (and after a bit of poking around after netbooting, could confirm that the values the installer spit out were correct). > -> Test: Typing "boot" in the firmware tries the boot _without_ > showing an error message about "unrecognized file system" > > Caveat: ARCS partition numbering is zero-based, so ???partition(1) > is /dev/sd?2 > > OSLoadFilename=Linux > > -> Test: This should load the kernel. > > Caveat: The arcboot label is case-sensitive. > E.g. I'm going to fiddle around with the ARCSboot settings a bit more, and maybe I can get it to play nicely. However, I am not confident, as the settings in ARCS seem more-or-less correct. > Thiemo > Phil. -- -------------------------------------------- Philippe Vachon Assistant Administrator, EngSoc Project, 3338 ME [EMAIL PROTECTED] Faculty of Engineering, Carleton University -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
