Inside the debian installer, this was changed to use horizontal numbering, so that the speech-enabled installer says choices in proper order, but in the installed system that's not enabled, one would have to export DEBCONF_TEXT_HORIZ=1 in the root environment. I'm however wondering: can we not just default to horizontal numbering? Samuel
