Dennis, I noticed that you had replied to a bug with which mine (#609388) had been merged, and had requested information about the RTL8111 operating under Lenny.
I also failed to install squeeze (amd64) due to the network card issue, but was able to successfully install a copy of Lenny (5.0.4 i386) that I had lying around. Under Lenny DHCP does work and I am able to generally surf the web. (I have some issues with lenny and the update manager, but I don't think they are related).
