Free Software Distribution Gets Praise from User Base In two separate award ceremonies last week, Debian GNU/Linux received praise from its user base for its award-winning distribution. Readers of the popular Slashdot.org website voted the Free Software distribution the "Most Deserving of a $2000 award". It was credited with being a top distribution and for upholding the Free Software ideals that Linux is based upon. The award was accepted on Debian's behalf by Sean Perry, Joey Hess, and David Coe.
