Hi anybody people waiting for a stable 3.1.x bugfix release - please keep calm
anybody who wants to help testing and reporting possible bugs please use http://git.dbmail.eu/paul/dbmail/commit/?h=dbmail_3_1&id=fd08e4bec8d7b20f0d795aa241fcc072a953485e 3.1.4 will be the most stable and bugfree release in the whole history of dbmail, i am testing and debugging with Paul very hard the last weeks because i have a personal interest get dbmail "enterprise-ready" and it seems my testing environments are showing hard to reproduce border-cases there are a few annoying (mostly small) things which and currently impossible to say in what software-layer they appear - if we are able to nail this down it needs also a test-strategy to prevent re-appear the behavior in the future as regression in futre-development/improvements * nested multipart message not properly re-constructed until now it is *not* reprdoceable with Paul's servers and nobody knows if it depends on MariaDB while he is using Postgres or gmime-2.6.10 without patches as i am not sure if Ubuntu is using unpatched sources and 2.6.12 from Fedora 18 at least with dbmail-3.0.x breaks horrible, been there done that :-( * SSL-problem with POP3 * a few bugfixes/cleanups from HEAD waiting for backport with lower priority we will test, test, test and test again as hard as possible in theory the following commit could be used if someone who already has upgraded does not want to downgrade 3.0.x except if your dbmail-pop3d is not behind a proxy becaue at least "php-imap" connecting with STARTTLS will loop forever, hard to say which other possible clients may be affected http://git.dbmail.eu/paul/dbmail/commit/?h=dbmail_3_1&id=fd08e4bec8d7b20f0d795aa241fcc072a953485e _______________________________________________________ current load testing on my environment running since 4:00 AM normally this machine is running with 36-40 degree and luckily it's a virtual interface between VMware guest and host-OS and not 700 GB over WAN :-) 08/31/13 21.21 GiB | 714.93 GiB | 736.15 GiB | 85.78 Mbit/s Physical id 0: +88.0°C (high = +85.0°C, crit = +105.0°C) Core 0: +85.0°C (high = +85.0°C, crit = +105.0°C) Core 1: +88.0°C (high = +85.0°C, crit = +105.0°C) Core 2: +86.0°C (high = +85.0°C, crit = +105.0°C) Core 3: +85.0°C (high = +85.0°C, crit = +105.0°C) * this is running with fd08e4bec8d7b20f0d795aa241fcc072a953485e on Fedora 19 x86_64 on Linux 3.10.10-100.fc18.x86_64, Mariadb 5.5.32 with libzdb-2.11.3, libevent-2.0.21 and gmime-2.6.10 * until now no single connect or checksum-error for large messages in the past i noticed randomly connection errors, currently this things runs damend stable that i am unable to bring it down :-) * load is mixed POP3/IMAP with 35 accounts, mixed attachment and mailbody-sizes and regulary also changes read/unread status of random messages -- Reindl Harald the lounge interactive design GmbH A-1060 Vienna, Hofmühlgasse 17 CTO / CISO / Software-Development m: +43 (676) 40 221 40, p: +43 (1) 595 3999 33 icq: 154546673, http://www.thelounge.net/
