Try: doc/README.http

It's meant to build something like an admin tool, or support integration
with external applications like an ERP, not to provide a fully
functional webmail/management client.

When using IMAP is too complicated, or you need 'raw' access to objects
without having to authenticate as the owner of the objects, then
dbmail-httpd might fit the bill.

The 'canonical' client for dbmail-httpd, which demonstrates usage and
tests the interface is in contrib/dbmailclient.php and it's test-suite
contrib/testdbmailclient.php

Some functionality is still missing, and the API is not really REST. But
if and when people like it, and start using it, I will expand and
improve things.
