Was that the first message? Please increase your verbosity and help
others help you:
- sql dump of old schema
- full console log of schema migration run
- your my.cnf (you did that already, assuming it was complete).

I hope you mean table, rather then db.
I'm guessing here, but I'm beginning to suspect your 2.2 schema is
different from the vanilla 2.2 schema.
