Nate, I saw the same thing on my box (sun ultra5, debian unstable, mysql,
dbmail 1.2 cvs).  When I investigated it, all the messages records had a
status of 005.  I attributed it to heavy db load, because as soon as I
killed my daily backups, the problem seemed to go away.  It still doesn't
explain why a failure wasn't reported back to dbmail or postfix, because
the messages just completely disappeared (i.e. weren't re-delivered later).
I haven't reported it as a bug, because I don't have much more detail than
what I've listed here yet.  I see that I've missed some good emails though.
