Thank you for sharing the links. The design document seems very sensible and practical to me.
I think clarifying item 9 (resilvering of an outdated primary), including any "costs" involved and the related design issues, would be useful. Also useful, at some point, might be o give some idea of the characteristic times or latencies expected in some of the actions or steps proposed in the design. (I understand this will be giving a different level of detail.) In the same vain, there seem to be some other important issues. So, for example, I'm assuming that the WAL threshold size prior to shipping to standby is configurable. M. Mortazavi
