OpenOffice Experience: 
Version 2.4, Base Only (on another computer)
Operating System: 
Vista Home Premium (all patches)

OpenOffice Installation: 
Verison 2.4 (Not yet installed on Deskpro computer)
Operating System:
Solaris (with SP2 and some patches installed, hope to install more in the next 
few days)

My Question:

Since last year my installation of OOO stopped using any Microsoft Office files 
after I received a notice that I should download an update, which I tried to 
do. I now use only the base and can create databases in OpnOfc Base, but can 
not open any Access databases. When I get a CD in the mail how will the 
OpenOffice Suite compatibility work when I install it on my Deskpro?
