No, I explained myself badly. I have just installed the system, so I have a very big tree (organized in various directory levels). I would like to import all the photos (so that tag search etc. works). I normally import them folder by folder, and I am not sure if this is equivalent as choosing the top folder and import recursively. I hope the data from the .xmp files from my old darktable installation will be respected... BTW, it's quite un-userfriendly that all the module presets from my other PC installation are gone with the database. In my opinion, they should be stored together with the styles, in a nice sharable set of text files... or have an option to export all of them and reload them. But well, it's also an excuse to make a bit of spring cleaning...
