When using the global color picker just now, I started noticing that the color
swatch was behaving strangely, sometimes getting less bright when switching
from "mean" to "max", in contradiction to the RGB values displayed on the
label. Then I noticed it sometimes actually showed a gradient - I had to check
the new version of the manual to make sure this wasn't some fancy new kind of
histogram. :P

Then I took a look at colorpicker.c and saw the answer, and sure enough,
removing my darktable.gtkrc removed the weird behavior. Not sure if this is
actually a bug, or if use of other than the stock darktable theme is officially
supported. I also know next to nothing about the GTK toolkit, but... surely
there must be a color display widget that doesn't have a mind of it's own? :)
