Hi, I am onviously missing something and advice appreciated. I set a uniwb on the camera, shot a grey card for reference then exposed several frames (flowers close up) ensuring that none of the RGB histograms on the camera were blown. Opened the images in DT, set WB from grey card, turned base curve off and find that eg red channel blown whereas the on-camera histogram for the red on that image maxes out at about 3.5 (out of a max of 5) bars.
I suspect I am overlooking simething blindingly obvious.
