After someone found an intelligent way to fight napster, suddenly the pro-net pro-gressive pro-fucks are screaming murder: http://slashdot.org/articles/00/07/13/1544256.shtml The question: technology is neutral and does not give a shit, we all know that. Is all this popularity of crypto, anonymity, peer-to-peer networking actually *bad* for these technologies ? Bad in the sense that becoming mainstream means becoming hijacked by cults (a la FSF or Linux clans), and therefore cease to be a tool for uncensored and/or private communications ?
