You just have not had enough time to get to know Tim yet. He's not really
trying to be rude. Here's the scale:
1. Tim pays you a compliment. This is the highest form of recognition, but we
don't really know what it means because it's never happened.
2. Tim responds in a neutral way to your post. This is the best you can hope
for in most cases.
3. Tim responds in a negative way, hurling personal insults and death threats in
your direction. This sounds bad, but it's actually a compliment in disguise.
It means he at least considers you a form of intelligence worth responding to.
4. You're in Tim's kill file. This is the ultimate insult.
Yes, Tim has become grouchier over the years, but haven't we all?
