It's spam, in that it's unwanted, bulk email.  No, I'm not stupid -- I 
understand WHY it came.  Still-- sparklist.com *makes money* off those 
mailing lists, and should therefore put some effort into maintaining them.  
One listserv was able to detect the fraudulent subscriptions -- why not them?  

Yes, CDR operators would be responsible if they knew about the abuse and did 
nothing about it.  (Not on a felony level, though...)

I'm pissed because I alerted them of this at around 1:00 PM.  They promised 
they'd block everything immediately and fire off a notice/apology to the list 
-- they lied.
